Project Description

I was approached by my OLDEST friend to help her create a brand and identity for her copper jewelry business. The project would include a logo, social media cover photo, and business cards.

This friend is very feminine in a sense, but she is also an athlete, doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty, and is a country girl. So, the brand needed to represent her.

I chose to go with a metal emboss-styled look. The metal would represent her not so feminine side, and the “embossed” portion of the logo would represent her feminine/southern belle side.

The logo itself was developed with a southern belle in mind, but also meant to look like a penny, which most of her jewelry is made from.

I wanted the brand to be cute and simply, but professional, and bold at the same time. With the bold copper color and the subtle imprint of the southern belle and traditional type, I feel the brand encompasses everything both her and I wanted it to. To develop the logo, I used Adobe Illustrator. To develop the business cards, I used Adobe InDesign.
